And how did I spend it? Cleaning. Yup. My first day of solitude and I spent it wiping, scrubbing and vacuuming. And I enjoyed it! It was actually therapeutic as well as calming to methodically go from room to room. No interruptions. No requests for snacks. No questions of what are we doing today? No one to walk on the wet floors (except the cat!) And I did it without getting a headache – no cleaning smells that always gave me migraines! No “what’s that smell” when the kids got home. And I am reminded “Clean doesn’t smell.” Of course it only lasted until 2:55 when the older children came home! Oh well. tomorrow’s another day… Learn what I use that’s safe, green and powerful.
